“San Antonio has been important to my development as both a person and an artist. When I moved here two decades ago, I was a young mother with two infant daughters and trying to find my way as an artist. As the daughter of immigrants, I had never lived more than 30 miles from my childhood home in Scaggsville, Md. Moving to San Antonio broadened my world, and I have been fortunate to travel to points here and far, finding my faith in people and places along the way.” -Mira Hnatyshyn
